Poshan Gyan: NITI Aayog Launches a Digital Repository on Nutrition Information
In association with NITI Aayog, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Center for Social and Behavior Change, Ashoka University has launched a National Digital Repository 'Nutrition Knowledge' (Poshan Gyan) on Health and Nutrition.

NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar, CEO Amitabh Kant, Women and Child Development Secretary Ram Mohan Mishra and Additional Secretary Dr Rakesh Sarwal expressed their views on the launch of nutrition knowledge. Significantly, despite India being a food-surplus nation, the country has high malnutrition status, so behaviour change is needed to end malnutrition.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan recently launched the "Mission Diet Revolution". This mission aims to spread the message of the importance of a nutritionally balanced diet. It will also promote the importance of access to local fruits and vegetables.
- India produces twice the amount of calories it consumes. But still, many people in the country are malnourished.
- The mission has also been launched simultaneously by Vijnana Bharti and the Global Scientists and Technocrats Forum.
- The motto of this mission is "Good Diet-Good Cognition".
- This mission will train teachers. After this, the teachers will send their message to the students. Through the students, this mission's objective is to spread the message to families and societies on a large scale.
NITI Aayog
It is a policy think tank in India established in 2015 in place of the Planning Commission. This body was found to achieve the goals of sustainable development with cooperative federalism. The Prime Minister is the Chairman of NITI Aayog.
