S1) B [Children]

The first-ever worldwide policy framework to safeguard children displaced by climate change was released by the UN University, Georgetown University, UNICEF, International Organization for Migration (IOM), and UNICEF.
Nine guiding principles are included in "The Guiding Principles for Children on the Move in the Context of Climate Change" to address the vulnerabilities of children who were compelled to migrate both internally and internationally.

Every year on July 29, people all throughout the world celebrate "International Tiger Day." The goal is to increase awareness of the value of tiger conservation among people, organizations, and governments.
After it was revealed that 97% of tigers had vanished during the course of the previous century, International Tiger Day was established in 2010. The WWF estimates that there are currently 3,900 tigers in existence. About 70% of the tigers in the world are found in India.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced two-time Olympic medal-winning player PV Sindhu as the Team India Flagbearer at the 2022 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in Birmingham.
The 2022 edition of the Commonwealth Games also has the largest contingent of female athletes in the history of the Games. As many as 205 participants are set to take part in the games in 20 sports. Top Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra had to withdraw due to an injury.

The Union Cabinet approved a project for providing 4G mobile services in all uncovered (24,680) villages in remote and difficult areas of the country.
The project will be executed by BSNL using Atmanirbhar Bharat’s 4G technology stack and will be funded through Universal Service Obligation Fund. The total project cost is Rs 26,316 crore.

Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India (ECGC) has introduced a new scheme to provide enhanced export credit risk insurance covering up to 90% to support small exporters.
This cover is provided under the Export Credit Insurance for Banks Whole Turnover Packaging Credit and Post Shipment (ECIB- WTPC & PS).  The scheme would benefit small-scale exporters availing of export credit with banks and diversifying their existing portfolios.
