1. (a) Gangnam Style

Rapper Psy from South Korea's Gangnam Style became the first video on YouTube to surpass one billion views, becoming a founding member of the billion views club, in 2012. Justin Bieber's "Baby" followed it in 2015. Since then, more than 200 music videos on YouTube have crossed the one billion watch milestone. The YouTube video with the most views right now is Baby Shark. On October 29, 2020, the video passed the 7 billion mark, and on November 2, 2020, it surpassed Despacito to become the most watched video on YouTube.

2. (a) Ranil Wickremesinghe

The Acting President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has taken the oath of office. On July 15, 2022, Sri Lankan Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya gave him the oath of office. Following the formal resignation of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, this has happened.


3. (a) EMM Negative

A 65-year-old Gujarati man has been found to have EMM Negative, the first distinct blood type in the country. The rarest blood group in the world is EMM Negative. The Gujarati man is the tenth individual in the world to have the most uncommon blood type. When the man underwent heart surgery, it was discovered that he had the rarest blood group in the world.

4. (b) July 15th 

Every year on July 15, World Youth Skills Day is observed to raise awareness of how crucial it is to give young people the skills they need to succeed in the workforce and as entrepreneurs. On July 15, the UN General Assembly proclaimed the day, which offered a special chance for discussion amongst young people, TVET institutions, businesses, employers' and workers' organizations, policymakers, and development partners.

5. (d) Italy

After populist coalition partner Five Star withdrew its support from his coalition government in a vote of confidence, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi announced his resignation. His unity administration had been in power since February 2021. The President of Italy, however, has rejected his resignation.


6. (c) Saudi Arabia

The airspace of Saudi Arabia will now be accessible to any carriers that match the country's overflight regulations, according to a July 14, 2022 announcement from the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). This would allow for additional overflights to and from Israel, indicating that bilateral ties may be improving.


7. (c) Tokyo

The World Athletics Championships will take place in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, in 2025. The World Athletics Council meeting, which will take place in Oregon, USA, on July 14, 2022, chose Tokyo as the host city.
