India’s men’s badminton platoon defeated 14- time titleholders Indonesia 3-0 to win the Thomas Cup for the first time. India’s Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth and Chirag Shetty, and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy gave a one-sided defeat to defending titleholders hustler Indonesia in the final of the Thomas Cup-2022 held in Bangkok, Thailand.

About Thomas Cup

About Rajeev Kumar
Rajiv Kumar was born on the date February 19, 1960. He was a 1984 batch IAS officer of Bihar/ Jharkhand skeleton, who retired from the post of IAS in February-2020. He has earned several degrees in his academic career, including BSc, LLB, PGDM, and Masters in Public Policy. Kumar has also served as a director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), State Bank of India (SBI), and NABARD. Piecemeal from these, Kumar has also served as a member of several boards and panels. Kumar was appointed as the Chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board in April 2020 and served as the Election Commissioner from September 1, 2020. During his term, he has gained over 37 times of experience in the Social Sector, Environment & Timbers, Human Coffers, Finance, and Banking sectors in Central and State Cadre Ministries for the Government.
